Make Your Own Delicious Tropical Coconut Smoothie Bowl

Not escaping to the tropics this winter? Right there with you ! But before you think about fake-cationing, make this refreshing recipe with the crazy-good combo of coconut and banana! A spring of mint and coconut flakes finishes the coconut smoothie bowl off with a pop of springtime freshness.

Smoothie bowls are an up and coming trend, not because everyone else is doing it, but because they are surprisingly delicious and healthy! You can use this smoothie bowl for breakfast, snack, or even lunch. Whenever you like feeling it. They are loaded up with additional nutritional goodies like fruit, chocolate and oats, since you don’t have to drink it through a straw. You can dress them up and make them gorgeous for an Instagram post as well!

A blend of four different kinds of berries gives it a beautiful colour and flavour. The touch of honey gives the smoothie a simple sweetness without adding any sugar to it. The banana helps to thicken it up as well as adding potassium to the dish. It gives you a good start to start off your day. Finish and dress up your smoothie with fresh whole fruits, chia seeds (optional), and mini vegan chocolate chips and you’re well on your wat to a healthy delightful breakfast. You can even eat it as a snack when you feel hungry!

 

Ingredients:

Smoothie:

  • 1 Banana
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Strawberries
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Blueberries
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Raspberries
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Blackberries
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 1 cup Coconut Milk

Toppings:

  • 1 Banana
  • 1/2 Fresh Raspberries
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Blueberries
  • 1/4 cup Shredded Coconut
  • 1/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 2 tbs Chia Seeds (Optional)

Instruction

  1. Combine all the smoothie ingredients together in a blender and blend everything until smooth
  2. Pour the smoothie into two bowls and top with toppings, dividing the toppings evenly between the two bowls and dress it up, Instagram ready!
