Healthy Coconut Christmas Swaps

Christmas is just around the corner (we are all very excited at Chi HQ) and we are busy planning our festive menus. It is hard to avoid over indulging at Christmas so we will be making some healthy coconut Christmas swaps to try and keep our diets balanced.

Coconuts contain a huge amount of natural health benefits including high levels of electrolytes and potassium. Our incredibly versatile products can be used in a wide range of ways over the festivities. Check out our mini guide below.

Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil can be used in all the same ways as butter or olive oil. Try using it to cover your potatoes before you put them in the oven to roast. You can also use it to cover your turkey before cooking.

If you are planning on preparing a nut roast try using coconut oil to grease the tin instead of olive oil.

If you are a fan of raw desserts mix a ripe avocado, 1 tbsp raw cacoa, 1 tsp Chi Coconut Oil, 1 tsp raw honey and a dash of almond milk to make a raw chocolate mousse, which could compete with a traditional Christmas pudding anytime!

Coconut Water

Planning on entertaining over Christmas and want to serve up some mocktails? Then make sure you have filled your cupboards with our 100% Pure Coconut Water.

Try making a refreshing, alcohol-free take on a mojito by mixing a glass of Chi Coconut Water, a handful of mint leaves, the juice of one lime and ice.

Coconut Milk

Everyone loves having a hearty breakfast on Christmas Day. How about starting it all off with some delicious vegan pancakes? For the base you just need to mix 1 banana, 1 tbsp coconut flour and a dash of Chi Coconut Milk. Whisk or blend all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Heat Chi Coconut Oil in a frying pan and ladle in one portion at a time. Cook for a couple of minutes on each side or until golden brown and serve with your favourite topping.
